Brigid completed her medical training at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in 1997, graduating with degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
After a further 10 years of post graduate training through Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and Princess Margaret Hospital – including 5 years of comprehensive specialist training, Brigid became a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in 2008 when she was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
She undertook post-fellowship training in Ireland and England, which included a 12 month Plastic Surgery Fellowship in Oxford in the United Kingdom that focused on breast reconstruction and microvascular surgery.
Brigid then returned to Australia to complete a six month Advanced Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery.
In 2010, she returned to Perth to work in private practice.
Brigid is also Head of Department of Plastic Surgery, and a Consultant Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital.
