Dr Matthew Jones completed his medical training at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom in 2007, graduating in degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
Matthew emigrated to Perth in 2008 and completed his specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery within major Perth tertiary hospitals. He became a Specialist Plastic Surgeon in 2020 when he was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Developing a special interest in facial aesthetic and breast surgery, Matthew undertook post-fellowship experience in cosmetic surgery procedures in Italy, United Kingdom, Stockholm, Portugal and Turkey.
This was followed by further fellowships at the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool and Great Ormond Street Hospitals in London, focussing on general paediatric plastic surgery, congenital hand surgery and micro surgery.
Matthew commenced private practice with the Western Australian Plastic Surgery Centre in 2024. He also holds a position as a Consultant Specialist Plastic Surgeon at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
